Walking in Faith

Matthew 8:8–10
- We see from the verse how the centurion man showed great faith in God.
According to Hebrews 11:1:
Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.
Faith is what we cannot see with our physical eyes, but we hope for it.
The centurion, whose servant was sick, came to Jesus asking Him to heal his servant. He knew that just a word from Jesus would be enough. He had faith in His word.
The Bible tells us in John 1 that Jesus is the Word. Sometimes, all we need is the Word of God—with faith—to have our situations resolved.
Abraham, the man of faith, heard the word of God and immediately acted on it. God toldAbraham in Genesis 12 to leave his brethren and go to the land He would show him. Abraham did not question or hesitate—he moved his family and left for the promise without knowing where the place was.
Hebrews 11:6 says:
It is impossible to please God without faith.
We can have faith when we have assurance in His Word and trust in Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 says we should trust in the Lord and not lean on our own understanding.
It is my desire that the Holy Spirit helps us grow in our faith—to be like the centurion man who didn’t need Jesus to be physically present but believed that just a word from Him was enough.
Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, help me through the Holy Spirit to grow in faith, that I may be able to please You. I thank You for today and always. Amen.
